One of the few downsides of living in the land down under is that most online games generally have maintenance smack bang in the middle of our prime play time. For example, Battle.net went down for four hours of maintenance at 3am PDT… which is 6pm here. Thanks for ruining my Friday night plans, Blizz!
Anyhow, instead of weeping that I cannot play Hearthstone (Seriously, I even just got booted from the EU servers 🙁 ) I generally use the free time to catch up on my favourite shows. Read on after the jump to see my top five binge-worthy, maintenance night gap filler shows.
Tatiana Maslany is an incredibly talented actress, I wish I had a friend like Felix, and I just want to give Helena a massive hug. I can’t wait for the next episode, due out this weekend.
For a show that has only aired nine episodes so far, I feel a real connection with the characters. The script writing is just top notch in this show, the humour is right up my alley, and, oh god, the latest episode was just brilliant, if not slightly depressing. I feel like I really need to hunt down a box set of Veronica Mars now.
It took me a fair bit to warm up to The Flash, but now I honestly prefer it over its big brother, Arrow. The previews of next week’s season finale has me incredibly excited!
Misfits is by no means a new show, but thanks to Netflix I am finally catching up. There are a few plot holes that really annoy me, but the biggest thing that is throwing me for a six right now is seeing Iwan Rheon playing a good guy instead of that disgusting piece of #$@% Ramsay Bolton on Game of Thrones.
This is the one show that I truly binged on; Disco and I watched it over a course of a few days. It was such a tight storyline, and I just could not tear my eyes away from it (Unless something gross was going down, of course…). I am so glad that it got renewed for Season 2!
